THE PROJECT —
One Embankment Place: Setting a New Benchmark for Corporate Architecture on the Victoria Embankment
There are office buildings that function. And then there are those that speak — of ambition, of permanence, of an organisation that understands that the spaces it inhabits are inseparable from the values it projects. One Embankment Place is the latter.
Conceived and delivered entirely by T&V Architects — from the first urban strategy to the final specification of every material threshold — this large-scale corporate campus sets a new benchmark for workplace architecture on the Victoria Embankment. It is a project of genuine civic consequence: a multi-level complex whose master plan engages the surrounding city with the generosity and spatial intelligence that only comes from a practice with deep international experience across multiple typologies and geographies.

“A building that holds the city and the individual in equal regard — and designs for both with equal intelligence.”

MASTER PLAN —
A Campus in Dialogue with the City
The master plan for One Embankment Place was conceived as a piece of urban infrastructure as much as a workplace. T&V Architects organised the complex around a generous public realm — a sequence of landscaped courts and active frontages that animate the surrounding streets while providing the campus with a coherent civic identity.
The practice maintains full authorship and control across every phase of delivery — from initial concept and spatial strategy, through planning consents, material procurement, contractor coordination, and construction oversight. At every scale and at every stage, the ambition is identical: architecture that earns its place in London.

THE GROUND FLOOR — LOBBY & RECEPTION
An Arrival Commensurate with the Building’s Ambition
The lobby at One Embankment Place is conceived as a civic threshold — a space whose scale and material resolution signal, before a word is spoken, the calibre of the organisation it serves. Stone-clad walls of exceptional grain, a monolithic reception desk, and a continuous cove of warm light combine to create an arrival sequence that belongs in a different category to conventional corporate reception design.
Floor-to-ceiling glazing draws the eye through the full depth of the ground floor to the landscaped public realm beyond, reinforcing the building’s relationship with the surrounding city at the very moment of entry.

THE WORKPLACE FLOORS — OPEN PLAN
Floors That People Choose to Work In
The open-plan floors were designed around a coffered timber ceiling system that brings warmth, acoustic intelligence, and a sense of human scale to the largest working floor plates. Floor-to-ceiling glazing on all primary elevations ensures that daylight penetrates the full depth of each plate.
Integrated planting, material transitions, and a carefully considered palette of natural stone and warm timber prevent any suggestion of the generic. These are floors where people genuinely want to work — a distinction that has become the most valuable metric in contemporary workplace design.
T&V Architects sourced every material through its established network of premier Italian and European suppliers — the same exacting standard the practice applies to every commission at every scale.

BUILDING SECTION — SPATIAL STRATEGY
Six Levels of Considered Experience
The axonometric section reveals the full spatial ambition of One Embankment Place: a building that is simultaneously a piece of urban infrastructure and a collection of precisely resolved interior environments, each calibrated to the life lived within it. At the uppermost level, a dedicated collaboration floor breaks from the regular floor plate to introduce planted courts, informal meeting settings, and a rooftop terrace overlooking the Thames.
The section is not merely a technical document — it is the clearest expression of T&V Architects’ conviction that great workplace architecture is an act of spatial generosity at every level, from the ground-floor lobby to the uppermost roof terrace.

EXECUTIVE SUITE — PRINCIPAL FLOOR
An Office at the Standard of a Private Residence
At the apex of One Embankment Place, the executive suite occupies its own world. Walnut-lined walls, full-height linen curtains that modulate the extraordinary city views, bespoke joinery, and a continuous floor plate that transitions from private desk to informal meeting to lounge — the result is an office that has entirely dispensed with the language of corporate interiors.
This is the floor that communicates an organisation’s standing before a single word is spoken. T&V Architects conceived it with the same rigour and material intelligence that the practice brings to its private residential commissions — because at this level, the distinction between the two has ceased to be relevant.
DESIGN APPROACH & METHODOLOGY
